That Blogger Who Makes Them Funny Faces

Feb 04, 2013 - by Fashion Indie

I spend a few hours in the park feeling like a total weirdo trying to imitate fashion's ultimate funny-faced girl, Leandra Medine.

Lately, I've been exploring themes around characters in fashion, those people who stand out for being phenomenal and have developed personality and styling traits that keep them memorable.

Anna's runway sunglasses and hair, Karl's chic vampire look, Grace's fiery afro.

All characters worth exploring, the later one I've already begun experimenting with, check out this recent shot of me as Grace imitating her iconic collaboration with Tim Walker.

Today, I'm in awe of this girl.

The fashion's world equivalent of Kristen Wiig, Leandra Medine, creator of the insanely popular ManRepeller and creative force behind Man Repeller x PJK, a new clothing line launching this spring, is one character that I can't get enough of.

Her signature character trait, a witty yet high-fashion writing style and her Jim Carrey-worthy rubberlike facial expressions.

I

FUCKIN'

LOVE

THIS

BITCH.

 Now my turn.

I decided to start off with a little Elvis lip raise...

That got me into winking, also known as my involuntary face spasm mode.

Scrunchin as I contemplate what else to do...

this...

then this...

...and finally this classic.

I really like the way this makes my cheekbones look.

I might have to run with this look more often.

I threw in a few gang signs cause my face started feeling as if I was giving myself wrinkles.

Trying to keep this face as young as possible to save on plastic surgeries later.

It took me about five minutes to figure out how to do this...

NAILED IT!!!

What the fuck was I wearing? Dress was See by Chloe, Hat by Royalty Decayed, Jacket by Elizabeth & James picked up last time I was at the Neimans at the Bal Harbour Shops, Shoes from Belle by Sigerson, Marc by Marc Jacobs denim shirt, jewels from I don't know where, and a pretty bad ass Stealth bag from United Nude.
