Girl's Guide to Coachella Clothing
Apr 15, 2011 - by Jessica Lapidos
A weekend of Californian madness is about to begin - dancing in the outdoors all the days long - at Coachella. If you're lucky enough to be going, bring pieces like these to ensure a euphoric trip. When dressing for a festival, the goal is to look as visually stimulating as possible, the audience is just about as much of a show as the bands themselves. And the busier the patterns the more wild you'll be, and the less likely it will look as dirty as it gets.
DRESSES: Maxis are breezy and make sitting on the ground no sweat. Little dresses are a blast, but don't forget safety shorts. Try a romper for the built in safety short.
TOPS: If you're going high waisted on the bottom, go for a croppy top. Sheer, jersey, and peace signs are all your friend.
SKIRTS: Long makes for swingy dancing. pull it up to make a dress. Short skirts + bathing suit bottoms work for play.
SHORTS: Fringes from pockets? Yes please! These wild shorts come are a feast for the eyes. Be loud on the bitty bottom.
SHOES: So important to have shoes that secure your feet well. You don't want to be slipping in flip flops at a festival. TOMS are perfect to climb everywhere, but strappy sandals will keep you dancing all Coachella long.
