Fashion for fall 2014 is exhibiting a distinctly sixties influence. Mini skirts, knee-high boots, bold prints, and big hair are making mod feel modern again. Adding a touch of swinging sixties to your hair is easy, just add crown-based volume. To keep the look contemporary, part hair on the side and style in loose, smooth waves. Pair with a bold cat eye to play and nude lip to play up the vintage vibe. Learn to create the look in the style notes. –– Laura Martin
Step: Prep hair with styling creme for maximum hold and rough dry. Continue styling with a large ceramic round brush, rolling the brush into the scalp using high elevation. Release sections gently and allow to cool.
Step: Part hair on one side and gently brush through to unify. Lift up the crown section and gently back-brush the underside for added height. Release and smooth gently by brushing over the top surface.
Step: Mist completed look with holding spray. If desired, pin back a small section on each side to create a half-up look.
