DL1961 Runway Show Overrun by Flash Mob of Dancers
Mar 01, 2013 - by Fashion Indie
One of the most exciting shows of this past Fashion Week, in my opinion, was hosted by luxe denim brand DL1961. Not only was the front row filled with the who's who of the blogosphere, the flashmob of dancers infused the typical runway experience with tons excitement.
Backstage, we spotted Wendy of WendysLookbook, Chiara of TheBlondeSalad, and Andy of Stylecrapbook, all taking photos and being interviewed by the camera crews. All the ladies were wearing DL denim, and boy was I jealous of their fabulous attire! At least I was also backstage, thanks to a friend who was able to sneak me in, which made me feel special and almost as important.
This is me backstage, wearing an Alexander Wang dress bought at Bal Harbour Shops, jacket by Moschino Cheap & Chic, shoes by United Nude, hat found in a vintage store, clutch made by Saynt the night prior by glueing Matryoshka heads to a wooden box.
Check out the behind the scenes video with these lovely ladies along with a full video of the runway show with a performance by Juilliard's finest.
